The PC and eighth-generation console versions of "Grand Theft Auto 5" are just weeks away, and New York developer Rockstar Games and Mass Appeal Records will be releasing exclusive collections of the game’s soundtrack on CD and vinyl. ‘The Music of Grand Theft Auto V’ limited edition collections includes a whopping 59 tracks with original music from modern artists A$AP Rocky, Tyler, The Creator, Twin Shadow, Wavves, Flying Lotus, Yeasayer and more.
The limited editions will also include the game’s original score, created by Tangerine Dream, Woody Jackson, The Alchemist and Oh No, and mixed by DJ Shadow.
The two companies will only release 5,000 copies of the special edition soundtrack internationally Dec. 9. It will be available at online and physical record stores.
The “GTA 5” vinyl collection will feature six records, a full-color booklet and an exclusive lithograph poster in a classic box-set. The CD collection includes three discs along with a branded ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ gold brick-shaped USB Drive, artwork and poster.
“Grand Theft Auto 5” first launched on November 2013 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game has sold more than 34 million copies worldwide. The title follows main protagonists Michael, Trevor and Franklin in the fictional city of Los Santos.
