Russia Tells Saudi Arabia, Qatar: Stop Arming Syrian Rebels

A senior Russian politician has urged Saudi Arabia and Qatar to stop arming and aiding Syrian rebel forces.

Alexei Pushkov, the head of the foreign affairs committee, asked the Arab nations to stop sending boats carrying weapons and end financing for the Syrian Free Army, Businessweek reported.

The call came after Russia and China yesterday urged world leaders to re-start peace efforts between President Bashar al-Assad and rebel forces.
