Ryan Phillippe has been romantically linked to singer Katy Perry. To clear the air regarding rumors claiming he is dating the singer, the “Secret and Lies” star decided to finally speak up and deny any ties with Perry.

On Sunday, April 9, Philippe, 42, took to Twitter to slam the rumors linking him to the “Roar” songstress and blast the papparazzi stalking him at his home. “I AM NOT DATING KATY PERRY. BARELY KNOW HER. PLEASE STOP FLYING HELICOPTERS OVER MY HOUSE. SHE IS NOT HERE,” the “Cruel Intentions” star wrote.

The speculations about Phillippe and Perry being an item started a few weeks ago after he and the singer were reportedly spotted getting cozy at Elton John’s birthday bash. One fan wrote on his social media page that some believe he is dating the “Dark Horse” singer, but the actor replied that he does not want this falsehood to be spread around. “Don’t mind ‘people’ thinking that. Don’t want low flying pervs hovering periodically,” he replied, as quoted by E! News.

Meanwhile, Perry, 32, broke up with latest boyfriend Orlando Bloom, 41, in late February after dating for less than a year. A source told the publication that the ex-lovers still love each other and may eventually get back together after they have spent some time apart. While it was the “Chained to the Rhythm” singer who pulled the plug, the exes reportedly haven’t cut their ties for good and are still texting and talking. Bloom even recently posted photos of him hanging out with Perry’s pooches on his Instagram page.

Meanwhile, Phillippe dated Paulina Slagter for five years before they broke up last November. He is also co-parenting his two children Ava, 17, and Deacon, 13, with ex-wife Reese Witherspoon, who ended things with him in 2007.

Meanwhile, Phillippe recently opened up about his fatherhood experience. The “I Know What You Did Last Summer” star told the “Late Late Show” host James Corden that he looked too young to be a dad that sometimes people mistook him as Ava’s brother, Us Weekly reported.

“One thing my daughter gets embarrassed sometimes by is the fact that I do look so young and I get mistaken for her brother at times, which repulses her,” he said. “It absolutely repulses her that anyone could mistake me for being her brother.”
