Ryan Reynolds Stops By Conan

Many would think being a first time father isn’t easy, but Ryan Reynolds seems to think otherwise. At least that’s what the actor told Conan O’Brien in an interview Tuesday.

The “Deadpool” star stopped by TBS’ "Conan" to promote his new upcoming movie and release the first trailer. He also dished about how it is being a father, which he says he’s proud of, but claims almost anyone can do it.

Reynolds and his wife, actress Blake Lively, are parents to a seven-month-old baby girl named James. He said right now James, who was born in December, is all about Lively, 27.

“I’m dead to her,” Reynolds told O’Brien. “That's her first words, ironically: 'You're dead to me.’”

Reynolds also talked about being in the delivery room when James was born. “I was there for the conception, so I thought the least I could do is be in the delivery room," he joked, adding, "And I’m not going to lie to you, I saw some things."

He went on to say that Lively was a mercenary during the delivery, as she was able to crack jokes while everything was going on. “She may have been on drugs, but I don’t ask personal questions,” Reynolds quipped. “I was just a terrible coach, there was a lot of clapping and I went for a couple of high fives, but she did not.”

The 38-year-old will star in the Marvel movie “Deadpool," where he will play a sarcastic and witty Canadian mercenary who is stricken with cancer and undergoes a rogue experiment that gives him healing powers. During the interview, O'Brien told the audience and Reynolds that Deadpool actually "saved his life" once, only to cut to a video clip of Deadpool giving the talk show host a massage.

This isn’t the first time Reynolds will be playing a superhero. He took on the role of Hal Jordan in the 2011 film “The Green Latern.”

The trailer for “Deadpool” was released on Tuesday and can be seen below. “Deadpool” hits theaters Feb. 12, 2016.
