South Africa's new vehicle sales increased by 25.2 percent year-on-year in February to 49,164 units, the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers (NAAMSA) said on Wednesday.

When sales from Associated Motor Holdings and Amalgamated Automobile Distributors -- which report separately -- are stripped out, sales rose by 25.4 percent to 42,995 vehicles compared with February last year, NAAMSA said.
