As the awards season begins to heat up following the Golden Globes, the 2013 Screen Actors Guild, or SAG, Awards are nearly under way, with the final voting for the nominees in 13 categories culminating ahead of the show on Sunday.

According to the SAG Awards website, the final ballots in all 13 categories were filed with the elections firm by Friday at noon PST (3 p.m. EST) ahead of the ceremony live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

On Sunday, celebrity red-carpet arrivals will begin at 6 p.m. EST, airing live on this SAG Awards page. The televised awards presentation on TBS and TNT starts at 8 p.m. EST. Check your local cable listings for channel information or watch an online live stream at Daily Motion.

Presented by the labor union Screen Actors Guild, the SAG Awards first aired in 1995 to honor the best of acting in film and television in Hollywood. As the “only televised awards shows to exclusively honor performers,” the SAG Awards boast a “fast-moving two-hour show” that critics said oftentimes predicts the winners of the Academy Awards (Oscars). Nominees are selected by a team of 4,200 SAG members chosen at random, but the entire union chooses who wins a SAG statuette called “The Actor,” a nude male figure that holds comedy and tragedy masks.

This year, "Lincoln," "Les Miserables," and "Silver Linings Playbook" led the pack receiving four nominations each, including Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture: Also nominated in this category are “Argo” and “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.”

On the small screen, "Boardwalk Empire," "Breaking Bad," "Downton Abbey," "Homeland," and "Mad Men" will compete for the win in the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series category, while "30 Rock," "The Big Bang Theory," "Glee," "Modern Family," "Nurse Jackie," and "The Office" are all nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.

Presenters at the 19th Screen Actors Guild Awards show will include Alec Baldwin, Bradley Cooper, Jeff Daniels, Viola Davis, Neil Patrick Harris, Anne Hathaway, Ken Howard, Hugh Jackman, Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Lawrence, Julianna Margulies, Busy Philipps, Roberta Reardon, Carl Reiner, Justin Timberlake, and Sigourney Weaver.
