The 2022 NFL season isn't even halfway complete, but the Week 7 "Thursday Night Football" matchup is an extremely important one for both teams involved. The Arizona Cardinals host the New Orleans Saints in a matchup that neither team can afford to lose.

Both the Saints and Cardinals enter Week 7 with a 2-4 record. The betting odds continue to move in Arizona's direction with New Orleans experiencing poor injury luck.

The Cardinals are favored by 2.5 points at FanDuel Sportsbook. Arizona was only a 1.5-point favorite to start the week. The odds have changed in light of the news that wide receivers Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry have been ruled out of Thursday's game. Guard Andrus Peat will also miss Week 7 with an injury.

Andy Dalton is expected to be the Saints starting quarterback for a third straight week. The veteran has a 1-2 record as Jameis Winston's injury replacement. Dalton has completed 63.1% of his passes for 585 yards, three touchdowns and one interception.

Kyler Murray has been healthy, but the Cardinals quarterback hasn't performed like a $230 million quarterback. Murray has an 81.8 passer rating. Arizona has scored 17 points or fewer in three of the last four games, all of which have been Cardinal losses.

Murray gets some much-needed help in the form of a returning DeAndre Hopkins. Arizona's No. 1 receiver missed the first six games of the season because of a performance-enhancing drugs suspension. The Cardinals had an 8-2 record last season when Hopkins played.

Leading Cardinals receiver Marquise Brown is out with an injury. Arizona traded for Robbie Anderson to fill the hole in their lineup.

Viewers can watch the Cardinals host the Saints on Amazon Prime Video. The Week 7 matchup is almost certain to be more exciting than the last two games on "Thursday Night Football." In Week 5 and Week 6, no team scored more than 12 points in a Thursday night game.

The over/under is 43.5.

Scoring hasn't been the problem for the Saints during their recent stretch of games. New Orleans has surrendered at least 20 points in their last five matchups, four of which have been losses. The Saints are giving up 30 points per game in the last three weeks.

The Cardinals are 2-0 against teams that enter Week 7 with a losing record. A much healthier Arizona team should take care of business and remain perfect against sub-.500 opponents.

Prediction: Arizona over New Orleans, 23-17
