With the Samsung Galaxy S6 set for release on Friday, it’s the perfect time to buy a new smartphone. But who said that smartphone has to be the Galaxy S6?

The 2015 flagship is selling for $199 with a two-year contract with most carriers and for at least $650 with no contract, which is quite pricey. However, Samsung’s year-old Galaxy S5 is starting to see price drops at several carriers and retailers.

In the coming months, the price of the Galaxy S5 will likely drop even more, but customers can currently get some great deals on the device.
