Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man Limited Edition smartphone. This killer handset has apparently been designed by the South Korean tech titan after striking a partnership deal with Marvel Entertainment.
As expected, the Iron Man-themed Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge features shimmery red and gold hues. Plus, this particular special edition comes equipped with 64 GB of built-in storage capacity, says Phone Arena. To top it off, this Galaxy S6 Edge will reportedly be offered in a special box along with a coordinated wireless charging pad. Lastly, the much-required special edition clear cover will also be part of the package. Readers can check out the photos and videos of the Iron Man-themed Galaxy S6 Edge from Samsung’s official website.
Younghee Lee, executive vice president of global marketing in the IT and mobile division at Samsung, said: “We are excited to be able to offer our world-class Galaxy S6 Edge smartphone designed especially for Iron Man fans through our continued collaboration with Marvel. The limited edition Iron Man Galaxy S6 Edge embodies the power of the iconic Avenger with a dual-curved edge design and advanced features that will provide Marvel fans with the ultimate entertainment experience.”
The Iron Man handset was to be unveiled Wednesday in South Korea. Meanwhile, buyers from China and Hong Kong may have to wait until June. There’s no official confirmation on a U.S. release date at this point.
The Iron Man phone can be purchased in South Korea for 1,199,000 wons, which roughly translates to $1,092. But then, the South Korean tech giant has not confirmed if the regular flagship Galaxy S6 will get the special Avengers-themed treatment.
Samsung also has launched two impressive color-themed Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge models. The Galaxy S6 can be purchased in blue topaz, while the Galaxy S6 Edge comes in emerald green. Both S6 models can be purchased in 32 GB, 64 GB or 128 GB variants, notes Samsung Tomorrow.
