Sarah Palin wondered out loud to a reporter why celebrities are so full of hate towards her. Palin made the comments in Pella, Iowa after a screening of The Undefeated, an upcoming documentary about her political career.

What would make a celebrity, like you saw on screen, so hate someone that they'd seek their destruction, their death, the death of their children? said Palin to a reporter from the Hollywood Reporter.

Palin was referring to the opening of the documentary, which featured a slew of hateful words lobbed at her by celebrities. Those featured include Matt Damon, Madonna, Bill Maher, David Letterman, Howard Stern, and Louis C.K.

The documentary also showed clips of a Palin effigy being hung.

Palin said she's not familiar with most of the abrasive materials that weren shown. It kind of takes you back, she said.

It makes you want to reach out to some of these folks and say: What's your problem? And what was the problem? she added.

When asked if she plans to defend herself against these hateful remarks, she said there's never really a venue that absolutely lets somebody set the record straight and there are so many false narratives about me.

Below are some of the incidents of bashing from celebrities that were featured in The Undefeated documentary.

Matt Damon: Do the actuary tables and there's a one out of three chance, if not more, that McCain doesn't survive his first term and it'll be President Palin. It's like a really bad Disney movie.

Bill Maher: She’s demanding that we invade tsunami. I mean, she says these tsunamians will not get away with this. Oh, speaking of dumb tw**s. I let the cat out of the bag on that one, huh folks?

David Letterman: Highlights From Sarah Palin's Trip to New York - 2. Bought makeup at Bloomingdale's to update her slutty flight attendant look.
