Nowadays, people are quick to try the latest fad diet in an attempt to lose weight fast. From only eating ice to cutting out major food groups, many efforts at weight loss are done in extremely unhealthy manners.

Not only that, but the weight usually comes back quickly, along with extra pounds once the dieter returns to a normal eating pattern. But one healthy and nutritious way to lose weight and keep the weight off is by juicing. Juicing over the years has been seen as a healthy addition to one’s lifestyle, and a great way to add variety to your diet.

One of the healthiest things we can do is eat 2-4 servings of fruit and 3-5 servings of vegetables a day, according to the Department of Agriculture. Most of us don't meet that goal, making juicing a great way to get the essential vitamins we need on a daily basis.

According to Dr. Oz, health benefits of drinking freshly juiced fruits and vegetables include the retaining of most of the vitamins, minerals, and plant chemicals, which can help protect against diseases. It's also a great way to add nutrients from the fruits and vegetables that you don't usually consume.

Many celebrities have been advocates of juice cleanses as a way to detox and attain their weight-loss goals. Savannah James, the wife of NBA Heat star Lebron James, admitted she juiced in the months leading up to her September wedding.

Now, she has opened the Juice Spot in Miami’s Brickell community. The health store will include protein smoothies, and even has a fitness gym. Her husband was her No. 1 supporter, as well as her first customer.

He shared a photo of himself outside her latest business endeavor, along with the caption, “I couldn’t be more happy for you Savannah! I’m extremely proud of u, more than u know. #Itsalifestyle #striveforgreatness [sic].”

Other celebrities who promote juicing include Olivia Wilde and Blake Lively, who have done the Gateway Cleanse. This juicing cleanse is for beginners and incorporated 100 percent organic, raw, fresh-pressed fruits and vegetables in place of meals.

Kim Kardashian and Sofia Vergara have done the Reset Cleanse, which is a variety of six juices a day to release toxins and give the digestive system a break.
