As “Scandal” fans already know, Olivia Pope and her Gladiators have a lot on their hands right now. Between helping Fitz with his re-election, dealing with Sally Langston’s curveballs and worrying about a loose terrorist, it doesn’t look like they can handle too many more problems. But more problems is exactly what they’re going to get when episode 13, “No Sun on the Horizon,” airs Thursday night.

The episode, which will air on ABC at 10 p.m. EDT, will find Fitz in his first presidential debate during his re-election campaign. And while he does have superstar Pope by his side, no one will be prepared for the curveball thrown at the president. But who will the curveball come from? With opponents Langston and Samuel Reston running against him, Fitz has a handful of enemies that want him out of the White House.

As Fitz faces his opponents in the debate, the Gladiators will be continuing to work with clients at Pope & Associates (while juggling some personal issues). And their latest client, a powerful CEO, is desperate for help. Why? Because he has been accused of murder.

Meanwhile Olivia will receive some shocking news that forces her to make an “extremely difficult decision.” Does it have to do with her relationship with Jake and Fitz? Or has her mother, Marie, contacted her? Since the final moments of episode 12 revealed that Marie teamed up with Harrison’s former employer, Adnan Salif, we’re leaning towards some Momma Pope drama.

Episode 13, “No Sun on the Horizon,” will air on ABC at 10 p.m. EDT Thursday. Check out the sneak peek videos below and let us know what you think. Send your thoughts to @AmandaTVScoop.
