“Scandal” returned to ABC last night for its fifth season, and already fans can’t wait for more. The Season 5 premiere ended with a shocker as Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) agreed to give Olivia (Kerry Washington) some time to fix their relationship before going public. But unfortunately for the couple, someone within the White House leaked photos to Sally Langston (Kate Burton) of the two looking very cozy. Bring on the drama!

How will Olivia and Fitz deal with this new bump in their relationship in episode 2? By going their separate ways of course! But Olitz shippers don’t need to worry. The President and Ms. Pope aren’t separating for good. The synopsis for episode 2, titled “Yes,” reveals that Olivia and her associates will simply be taking a short break from D.C. to work on a new case … and get “away from the President.”

As Olivia works on doing damage control by putting distance between them, Fitz will be doing everything in his power to find out who leaked the footage to Sally Langston. Was it sneaky Elizabeth (Portia de Rossi)? Or maybe even desperate Cyrus, plotting his revenge for getting fired? Only time will tell.

Meanwhile, “Scandal” fans will check back in with Abby (Darby Stanchfield), who is struggling to stay afloat with all the shenanigans going on in the White House. In episode 2 she receives “unexpected guidance from a master of damage control.”

“Scandal” Season 2, episode 2 airs on ABC on Thursday, Oct. 1 at 9 p.m. ET.
