‘Scandal’
Will Abby (Darby Stanchfield) be able to mend her broken relationship with Olivia (Kerry Washington) and the Gladiators in “Scandal” Season 6? ABC

Abby Whelan (Darby Stanchfield) may have just reunited with her former friends in “Scandal” Season 6, episode 9.

In “Dead in the Water,” Olivia (Kerry Washington) and Quinn (Katie Lowes) found out that Abby had something to do with Huck’s (Guillermo Diaz) shooting. When they confronted her, Abby denied that she was the one who instructed Meg (Phoebe Neidhardt) to take care of Huck. But after even more prying, Abby came clean about her actions to Olivia and Quinn, but only indirectly. Luckily, Huck survived not only being shot several times, but also falling into the water.

While he was fighting for his life, Huck had several visions of the people who are closest to him. Olivia and Quinn were there, and they encouraged him to keep holding on. In the end, Quinn and Charlie (George Newbern) saw Huck’s almost lifeless body with Jennifer Fields’ (Chelsea Kurtz) corpse.

Huck was brought to the hospital for immediate treatment, and most of his associates and friends were there to see how he was doing. Even Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) was there to show support for Huck and Olivia. He has already forgiven the latter for leaving him, and Olivia has also forgiven Fitz for everything. When she later went out of the hospital room, Olivia saw Abby sitting on a chair with a shocked look on her face.

Abby was the only character who had still been wearing a white hat until she did what she did to Huck and Frankie Vargas (Ricardo Chavira). When Olivia sat beside her and grabbed her hand, Abby broke down in tears, seemingly realizing everything she’s done to stay in power. The episode ended with a cliffhanger about whether or not Abby is officially back from the dark side.

“Scandal” Season 6 airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
