‘Scorpion’ Season 3 Spoilers: Episode 7 Sees Walter Bonding With Ralph In ‘We’re Gonna Need A Bigger Vote’ [RECAP]

“Scorpion” Season 3, Episode 7 recently saw Walter (Elyes Gabel) teaming up with Paige’s (Katharine McPhee) son, Ralph (Riley B. Smith).

In “We’re Gonna Need A Bigger Vote,” Walter was informed that he couldn’t participate in Team Scorpion’s latest mission. Since he’s used to being the leader of the group, Walter struggled to stay away from their task, which was to find whoever was responsible for manipulating the votes on Election Day. Since Walter was left to work with Ralph, the two were able to strengthen their friendship. This is the very reason why Ralph told his mom that he wants Walter to be his stepfather.

During their conversation, Paige asked Ralph to share his thoughts about her dating Tim (Scott Porter). The young but very smart boy said that he’s fine with them dating as long as it’s making his mom happy. However, if it were up to him, he wants Paige to end up with Walter. Paige didn’t react when she heard Ralph say this, but it was obvious that she was affected by it.

Meanwhile, Toby (Eddie Kaye Thomas) and Happy (Jadyn Wong) also had an emotional scene on Monday night’s episode. Happy told Toby that she really wanted to keep their baby and take care of him well because she didn’t grow up with her parents. Last month, “Scorpion” executive producer Nick Santora explained to TV Insider why they decided to write Happy as an expectant mother. At that time, it was also revealed that Happy and Walter tied the knot so that the latter won’t be deported. “We knew that revealing those two bombshells back-to-back would really work. We thought it would be fun for the fans of the show to hit them with two character reveals in the same episode within minutes of each other,” he said.
