‘Scorpion’
Will things get awkward for Paige (Katharine McPhee) and Walter (Elyes Gabel) after they have sex in “Scorpion” Season 4? CBS

“Scorpion” Season 4 will pick up right where Season 3 left off, which means that Paige (Katharine McPhee) and Walter (Elyes Gabel) just became a couple.

In the premiere, the two characters will wake up next to each other, which could only mean that they have already had sex. Paige asks Walter how he’s feeling, and they will talk about their first night together through a song.

While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Gabel admitted that the premiere for Season 4 was the most fun he’s had in a long time. “When you play the same character, no matter how interesting it is and how great the people are and the writing is, I think, as an artist, you kind of want to jump outside the box and do something different,” he said.

“Scorpion” executive producer Nick Santora also explained their decision to begin the upcoming season with a music number. “It doesn’t mean that the show still isn’t going to be fun, because so much of the fun was in the will-they-won’t-they. Two, just because they’re together, doesn’t mean it’s going to go smoothly, because this is a genius and a human, after all,” he said.

Santora wrote three versions of “Everything Absolutely Genius” for “Scorpion” Season 4. The music for the original track was arranged by the show’s composer, Tony Morales.

Meanwhile, Santora also talked about the other couple in the hit TV series: Happy (Jadyn Wong) and Toby (Eddie Kaye Thomas). While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Santora said that the two are digging the married life. “They’re going to have their own challenges this season that may or may not have something to do with the expansion of their family – maybe a little pro-creation or other things of that nature,” he said.

A few months ago, Santora also told TV Line that it’s possible for Happy and Toby to think about having a baby in Season 4. But it is still unclear whether or not she will get pregnant in the upcoming episodes.

“Scorpion” Season 4 will premiere on CBS on Oct. 27 at 10 p.m. EDT.
