It appears Scott Disick is not ready to give up on his relationship with Kourtney Kardashian. The pair split over Fourth of July weekend after photos surfaced of Scott cuddled up to ex-girlfriend Chloe Bartoli in Monte Carlo. Scott is reportedly handling the breakup well – because he feels there may be a chance he and Kardashian will get back together.

According to People magazine Scott is “not upset” about being dumped by his girlfriend of nine years and is “doing fine.” Sources say he is crossing his fingers for a reconciliation because, as he’s learned from past mistakes, it may not be final. Scott and Kourtney have broken up numerous times before, but wound up back together each time. A source told the magazine the 32-year-old is hopeful this breakup will be similar “because ‘over’ doesn’t always mean 'over.'" Still, insiders says he is aware that there is a chance Kourtney is serious and he is prepared for that.

“He’s open to the idea that she may not forgive him and it may really be over for good, and he’s okay with that, too,” the source said. “Right now his feeling is, whatever happens, happens.”

As previously reported, Kourtney broke up with Scott after photos surfaced of him and Bartoli all over each other on vacation. The decision was reportedly not an easy one for her to make, but she felt she had to do what was best for her three young children. Kourtney has been very vocal about her fear that Scott has a drinking problem and was reportedly finally fed up with his partying. According to reports, Scott has not returned to the Calabasas, California, home he and Kourtney shared for more than a month.

The 36-year-old Kardashian sister has yet to address their break up, though she has shared several photos on social media since the news broke. According to the posts she has been spending a majority of her time surrounded by family, specifically her sisters Kim Kardashian West and Khloé Kardashian. Scott has also been relatively active on Instagram, most recently sharing a heartbreaking post about his daughter Penelope Disick’s 3rd birthday.

“1 of the only things I’m proud off about myself. Happybdayp,” he wrote.

Social media users were quick to side with Kourtney, with thousands of fans tweeting that Scott had downgraded by choosing his ex over his longtime girlfriend. Scott has also received several nasty comments on Instagram since the scandalous photos hit the Web. He has not responded to the backlash.
