When Selena Gomez and The Weeknd first split in October, it was believed that the two would remain cordial with one another. However, it looks like any chance of friendship is off the table. As of Wednesday, the “Wolves” singer unfollowed her ex-boyfriend on Instagram, and he quickly followed up with the same action.

When the couple initially split, sources told E! News that they were still on good terms with one another. “They are still talking and will remain friends,” the insider revealed.

However, not long after the split, Gomez was spotted hanging out with ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber, and the two were eventually photographed kissing, seemingly confirming that they were back together.

Since unfollowing Gomez on Instagram, The Weeknd has also deleted all traces of the “Bad Liar” singer on his page, even though she still has photos of the two of them on her account.

The Weeknd also seems to be following in Gomez's footsteps when it comes to rekindling old relationships. as he is reportedly reconnecting with ex-girlfriend Bella Hadid.

After The Weeknd’s break up with Gomez, he reconnected with the model. “Bella and Abel have been in contact since Abel and Selena split, but they are not back together,” a source told E! News earlier this month.

“Abel reached out to Bella asking to hang out and catch up, and she decided to see him and see where things go. She knows that if they don’t date again, they can at least be good friends.” the insider added.

Even though the two split over a year ago, Hadid still has feelings for her ex-boyfriend. “She still loves him but has her guard up. She never really got over him,” the source revealed.

Although the two have begun speaking again, it doesn’t mean they will be settling into a committed relationship anytime soon.

“She is not looking to be exclusive with him now, just to be his friend. His schedule won’t allow him to stay focused on her—she knows this from past experience,” the source continued.

“She also knows he is talking to a few girls still. She reads what is put out in the news and that affects her.”

While The Weeknd and Hadid are not officially back together just yet, it’s clear he and Gomez have no intention of rekindling their romance or maintaining a friendship.
