“Sex with Brody” has made its debut on the E television network. After appearing in several episodes of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” over the years, Brody Jenner has finally landed his very own talk show. Here are some highlights of and reactions to its first episode, which premiered July 10.

“The fact that he’s just a regular guy makes this show much more fun,” according to Entertainment Weekly. Even though Brody is described as a so-called sexpert on the series, his only real credential is that he’s a regular guy who has a lot of experience between the sheets. EW shared that having a handsome guy discussing the subject is more appealing than having some medical doctor discuss the serious aspects of it.

However, the show does have a physician on its panel. Brody is joined by Dr. Mike Dow, who is in charge of keeping the medical facts straight. Injecting a female perspective and humor into the series is comedian Stevie Ryan.

The first episode tackled some topics that the EW review described as “cringeworthy.” The panel members discussed some common terms related to making love, and they also tackled the topic of threesomes with celebrity guest Christina Milian, another E network star.

Nonethless, the review indicated that Brody is the show’s saving grace. While the other panel members sometimes “boring,” Brody’s open and candid take on his own experiences make the show hilarious.

Before the series was launched, Brody had already made some controversial comments and gotten his famous family involved. For example, he had said his sisters Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner, who are 19 and 17, respectively, can teach him a thing or two about making love. The Mirror described his remark about his young sisters as “inappropriate.” Likewise, he mentioned that his stepsister Kim Kardashian isn’t the only one in the family to have made a video of a bedroom adventure. He said he made his own back when he was about 17, but never had any intention of showing it publicly.

It remains to be seen whether the show will gain a following in coming weeks. Meanwhile, “Sex with Brody” is being shown on the E network Fridays at 10:30 pm EDT.
