Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's pending divorce has put the custodial fate of their six children in limbo. For Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, who has faced unconfirmed rumors she was a transgender child since she was 2 years old, it remains unclear who she will live with. While Jolie wants full custody of Shiloh and her five siblings, Pitt is reportedly seeking joint custody.

It's uncertain where Shiloh's parents stand on her possibly being transgender, but here is a look at previous statements Jolie and Pitt have given that allude to Shiloh’s gender identity:

“Shiloh, we feel, has Montenegro style,” Jolie, 41, told Vanity Fair in 2010 about Shiloh’s choice of clothing. “It’s how people dress there. She likes tracksuits, she likes [regular] suits. So it’s a suit with a tie and a jacket and slacks, or a tracksuit. She likes to dress like a boy. She wants to be a boy. So we had to cut her hair. She likes to wear boys’ everything. She thinks she’s one of the brothers.”

Two years earlier, Pitt, 52, talked about it during an interview with Oprah Winfrey. At the time he made the statement, she was 2. “[Shiloh] only wants to be called John. John or Peter. So it’s a Peter Pan thing,” he said. “So we’ve got to call her John. ‘Shi, do you want...’ - ‘John. I’m John.’ And then I’ll say, ‘John, would you like some orange juice?’ And she goes, ‘No!’ So, you know, it’s just that kind of stuff that’s cute to parents and it’s probably really obnoxious to other people.”

The topic was revisited early last month when OKMagazine.com reported that Shiloh doesn't have any girls' clothes at all.

Jolie filed for divorce Monday. She and Pitt were married for two years, but they were in a relationship together for more than decade. The couple has six children: Shiloh, Maddox, Zahara, Pax, Vivienne And Knox. Jolie cited “irreconcilable differences” in filing for divorce. She is not seeking spousal support, but asked a judge for sole custody and to give Pitt visitation rights. Pitt, on the other hand, reportedly wants joint custody.

“Brad thinks Angelina is a great mother,” a source told People Magazine Wednesday. “But he is also a great father. There is no way he is going to be absent for any part of his kids’ lives.”
