Thanks to some very observant WWE fans, it seems like 20 superstars have been officially confirmed for “WWE 2K16.” Fans uncovered a number of superstar shirts during the entrances of “Finn Balor” and “Seth Rollins,” pretty much guaranteeing that they will be in the game.
According to a report from Games Radar, the shirts reveal a number of returning superstars and legends, as well as some new blood from NXT. The new NXT superstars expected to be in the game include Baron Corbin, Enzo Amore, Big Cas and Kevin Owens. Sami Zayn, another NXT superstar, will also be returning to the game, after debuting in last year’s “WWE 2K15.”
Roster mainstays like John Cena, Roman Reigns, The Usos, Dolph Ziggler, Cesaro, Tyson Kidd and “The Beast” Brock Lesnar have also been confirmed. Cody Rhodes will also be returning, but under his new Stardust persona.
Legends will also join the roster, as shirts for Sting and Bret Hart were also revealed. Sting’s inclusion is not a huge surprise considering that he was in last year’s game as a pre-order bonus, and participated in “Wrestlemania 31.” Bret Hart, on the other hand, has already appeared in a number of WWE games, but “2K16” will be the wrestler’s first appearance in a current-generation console.
In addition to these superstars, IGN confirmed 12 more superstars, excluding the first seven -- like Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose -- who were announced earlier this year. These 12 superstars include Kalisto, Sin Cara, Eva Marie, Emma, General Adnan, Colonel Mustafa, Booker T, Corporate Kane, Lord Steven Regal, Tamina Snuka, Summer Rae and “The Game” Triple H.
“WWE 2K16” is likely to be launched on Oct. 27 for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360.
