Hunger Games, Gilly and some much-expected cleavage made an appearance on Saturday night when Sofia Vergara made her SNL hosting debut.

The Modern Family actress brought the funny to Studio 8H, aiding a show that has been lacking in the laughs for quite some time now. Vergara was upbeat, energetic and full of life. She seemed to have lots fun throughout the show and certainly looked stunning while doing it.

Sofia Vergara hosted NBC's SNL on Saturday, opening with a monologue that mocked her thick accent and drool-worthy curves. Of course, during the monologue, Vergara showed off her enviable figure in a strapless leather corset dress and red pumps. The 39-year-old would change into other figure-hugging outfits for her hosting gig and say goodbye to the audience in a black leather jacket.

I never dreamed I would be here in New York City, said the Colombian beauty. I always heard that immigrants had a hard life when they came to America, but when I showed up here everyone was so nice. The men brought me drinks; they offered me a place to sleep.

This country welcomed me with open arms and pulled down pants, she joked.

One of the best skits of the night was Bein' Quirky with Zooey Deschanel. The impressions of Drew Barrymore, by Kristen Wiig, and a squeaky-voiced Michael Cera, by Taran Killam, were spot on. Sofia Vergara's Fran Drescher was also a huge hit - with her loud voice, obnoxious laugh and gaudy outfit.

Although Kristen Wiig said that she would retire her Gilly character from SNL, she brought her back for the Gilly in Sex Ed sketch. Sofia Vergara played a sex education teacher who is teased by the mischievous Gilly. Gilly started by throwing a cherry pie at Vergara.

Gilly! Gilly! Did you throw America's favorite dessert at my head? asked an angry Vergara. Sorry, said Wiig's Gilly with a naughty smile.

Kristen Wiig, who is reportedly leaving SNL after this season, brought back the hilarious character in the best of ways.

Another great skit of the night was when genius Taran Killam played Andy Cohen on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live! Killam was joined by Kate McKinnon, a comedian who has had a loud buzz surrounding her possibly joining the SNL case full-time. Vergara played one of the cast members of Shahs of Sunset while McKinnon played Tabatha Coffey, host of Tabatha Takes Over. Coffey tries to tell two young sisters how to run their lemonade stand.

Finally, Sofia Vergara closed her SNL premiere with a sketch about the box-office smash-hit, The Hunger Games. Vergara played Maria Gutierrez, a news anchor covering the Hunger Games lives from the arena. It should be called the Fun-ger Games because everyone is having so much fun! yelled Vergara. Her most hilarious line from the skit was BOOM! Hunger Games! when someone died.
