Sony Corp said on Wednesday it would launch a motion controller or wireless controlling device for its PlayStation 3 game console in the autumn of 2010.

That would give it more of an edge in competition with Nintendo Co Ltd's Wii game machine, which features a controller that allows users to direct onscreen plays, for example by swinging it like a bat or a racket.
