Sony is gearing up to release a 5.5-inch display clad device under the code name Lavender. Now a slew of leaks show the device’s front panel, but the name has not been revealed by Sony yet. Recently, the name Xperia T4 Ultra popped up out of nowhere. But now, a new report says, the original name of the device masquerading as Lavender is the “Xperia C5 Ultra.”

According to the credible tipster @upleaks, the Lavender will be the Sony Xperia C5 Ultra. This also means a device named Sony Xperia C5 is under development. The predecessor Xperia C4 with a 5.5-inch display and an impressive front-facing shooter for selfies will also be getting a replacement in the form of Xperia C5, says Phone Arena.

As for the reported Xperia C5 Ultra specifications, the handset is expected to come with a 5.5-inch near bezel-free display and 1080p screen resolution. It will be powered by a 64-bit, octa-core MediaTek processor and backed by a good 2 GB of RAM configuration. It will run on Android Lollipop OS.

The Xperia C5 Ultra will sport a 13 MP rear-facing snapper with LED flash in tow. Surprisingly, the same 13 MP shooter will also be housed in the front of the handset for capturing selfies.

According to an earlier report, other rumored specifications include a Full HD resolution of 1,080 x 1,920 pixels, 401 ppi pixel density and Mali-T760 GPU. Apart from the standard connectivity options, the Sony Xperia C5 Ultra will support 4G LTE. Additionally, the device is dual-SIM compatible. In any case, readers should note that, Sony has not confirmed the Sony Lavender or Xperia C5 Ultra specifications thus far.
