Sony Corp <6758.T> said on Monday its optic disc drive business is under investigation for possible antitrust violations, and its U.S. unit Sony Optiarc America has been told to provide information to a U.S. watchdog.

We understand that other countries are also investigating competition in optic disc drives, Sony said in a statement.
