A Riverside County Supervisor wants to split the state of California and form the State of South California.

To form the new state of South California, Stone is proposing 13 counties to break away, which are (in alphabetical order): Fresno, Kern, Kings, Imperial, Inyo, Madera, Mariposa, Mono
Riverside, Orange , San Bernardino, San Diego, and Tulare.

Jeff Stone said Thursday that the split would allow the new state to concentrate on improving the economy, education, balancing budgets, and securing borders.

He plans to bring the proposal to the Board of Supervisors July 12.

Explaining that the state Legislature has gone wild and just don't care, Stone proposes the solution: A serious secession from the liberal arm of the state of California. I know the state of California can do better, he said to Press-Enterprise.
