Gold reserves held by Starcore International Mines Ltd. climbed nearly a third this year over 2010 levels, the Vancouver-based company said Thursday.

The latest reserve estimate its San Martin Mine in Queretaro, Mexico, shows a 31 percent increase in tonnage and a 28 percent increase in equivalent ounces, both of which occurred while milling 290,000 metric tons from the reserve area.

San Martin project is located about 150 miles northwest of Mexico City.
