For gamers who enjoyed Cartoon Network Games and Grumpyface Studios’ 2015 mobile RPG “Steven Universe: Attack The Light,” there’s good news for you that came today. Apparently, there’s going to be a sequel for the game and a gameplay preview is slated for release this weekend.

Kotaku has learned that the turn-based mobile RPG’s sequel is entitled “Steven Universe: Save The Light” — just a single word difference from the original installment, but it’s a totally different game. In fact, there are leaked screenshots showing that this time around, Greg Universe and Connie are joining Steven’s adventure. In the first game, Amethyst, Pearl and Garnet served as Steven’s core gem companions. This time, Steven will be leading a team comprising Garnet, Connie and Greg Universe.

It also appears that Steven is going to have a more active role in the game unlike before. Perhaps, fans will finally see him doing some attacks himself and not simply rely on his companions to destroy their enemies.

“Steven Universe: Save The Light” is going to be a console RPG and it will feature an original story by the cartoon series creator Rebecca Sugar. The platform shift is said to bring in an updated battle system that has fully customizable character selection. Furthermore, the new game is going to focus more on exploration and puzzle-solving in 3D environments, as per Destructoid.

Aside from the new “Steven Universe” game, Cartoon Network is also launching an “OK KO: Let’s Be Heroes” game, which is based on an upcoming animated series. This new offering chronicles the story of “an endlessly optimistic kid attempting to level up to be the best he can be in a dynamic universe of friends and challenging foes,” according to Comics Alliance.

Interested gamers will get to see the gameplay of the new games at PAX East this weekend. Cartoon Network Games will have a panel on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Dragonfly Theatre in Boston, Massachusetts.

“Steven Universe: Save The Light” does not have a specific release date yet, but Cartoon Network Games has already confirmed that it is set to debut this summer. In the meantime, check out the first game’s official trailer below in case you’re not familiar with it yet.
