U.S. stock index futures edged up on Friday after inflation data showed consumer prices rose as expected in April on food and energy costs, but broader inflation signals remained muted.

S&P 500 futures rose 3.3 points and were above fair value, a formula that evaluates pricing by taking into account interest rates, dividends and time to expiration of the contract. Dow Jones industrial average futures gained 32 points and Nasdaq 100 futures added 5.25 points.
