“True Blood” star Jim Parrack will reportedly play the Joker’s henchman Jonny Frost in “Suicide Squad.” In a recent (now deleted) Instagram post, actress Corina Calderon mentioned that she will soon be on the sets of “Suicide Squad” to see Parrack in the avatar of Frost. The post has been saved by Batman-News and reads:

“All #HappyCamper on my way to set again, going earlier than my #CallTime just to be there and watch my boy Jim Parrack playing #JonnyFrost do his Thang #SuicideSquad.”

Though Calderon, who herself plays an unspecified role in the film, may have mentioned Parrack’s character name, there is no official confirmation. Parrack was seen leading Jared Leto’s Joker in the “Suicide Squad” trailer, dressed in a suit.

In the Brian Azzarello’s comic “Joker,” Frost is a low-level thug who is sent to pick up the Joker. The latter likes Frost and keeps him as his chauffer. Frost drives the Joker to a strip club, where the former kills the owner. It is not yet known whether the same plot line will be used if Parrack is playing Frost.

Meanwhile, “Suicide Squad” is being shot in Toronto and it concerns a set of supervillains who form a squad to execute a dangerous "black-ops" mission. Director David Ayer told Entertainment City via Comicbook:

“I’m all about real drama, real performance, and real people,” said Ayer. “So my twist on this is I’m creating a family. I’m creating a brotherhood here. I’m creating a very real chemistry, and I have this incredible ensemble of actors, led by Will Smith, who are basically playing dimensional characters with lives and souls."

Viola Davis, who plays Amanda Waller in the film, also said in her recent interview with Slash Film that Ayer has humanized the superhereoes.

The cast also includes Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Karen Fukuhara, Jay Hernandez and Adam Beach. It opens Aug. 5, 2016
