Adam Beach recently shared interesting details about Jared Leto’s version of the Joker, who will appear in director David Ayer’s film “Suicide Squad.” Reportedly, the character will embody two personalities.

"He encompasses this beautiful man and he shows it in, 'Hello, how are you?,' but in an instant, he goes to psychotic behavior where you're in fear. But you love him because he has both of those genuine sides,” Beach told E! Online.

Beach, who plays Slipknot in the film, also revealed that Leto is using method acting, staying in character even when he is not on the set. In fact, when Leto is away from the set, he reportedly sends videos showing him dressed as the Joker. “Basically, what he said was, 'Guys, I can't be there but I want you to know I'm doing my work as hard as you guys. The video he showed is in character. It blew our minds away. Then we realized that day, this is real,” Beach said.

Leto also sends gifts that are related to his co-stars' characters. He reportedly sent bullets to Will Smith (Deadshot).

The Oscar winner has also gained weight for the Joker role and has colored his hair neon green. He also will be sporting an array of tattoos on his body and face.

In the comics, the Joker is a Batman nemesis and criminal mastermind. He is a psychopath with sadistic sense of humor. He gets green hair and a white face after he falls into a tank of chemical waste. The disfigurement drives him crazy. His romantic interest is Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie). The character first appeared in “Batman” No. 1 and was created by Jerry Robinson, Bill Finger and Bob Kane. He was famously portrayed by the late actor Heath Ledger in “The Dark Knight” (2008); Jack Nicholson in "Batman" (1989); and the late Cesar Romero in the 1960s "Batman" television series.

Ayer has based “Suicide Squad” on the comic book of the same name by John Ostrander. Other cast members include Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne and Viola Davis. The film is scheduled to open Aug. 5, 2016.
