The presence of Batman in director David Ayer’s forthcoming superhero movie "Suicide Squad" has been confirmed. In a recently leaked image from the film’s Toronto set, the caped crusader can be seen sitting on the Joker’s car. The image has surfaced on social media and shows an unknown actor sporting the Batman costume -- without a cape.

According to Web speculation, Batman is trying to fight a crime in this scene as the Joker (Jared Leto) and Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) are speeding in the Jokermobile. A video has also emerged on Instagram that shows Batman sitting on the back of Joker’s car as it speeds away on Yonge Street in Toronto.

Meanwhile, another video shows Batman attached to back of the Joker’s car, which appears to be in a parking lot. With Batman’s appearance on the sets, fans can expect a thrilling chase scene when “Suicide Squad” opens Aug. 5, 2016. Written and directed by Ayer, the film will have a cast that also includes Will Smith, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne and Viola Davis.  It is based on comic book of the same name by John Ostrander.

DC Entertainment and Atlas Entertainment are producing the film, for which shooting began April 13 in Toronto. It concerns supervillains who form a squad in order to undertake a dangerous mission for the government, in exchange for less prison time. They will work under the guidance of Amanda Waller (Davis), who runs a secret government agency called A.R.G.U.S.

Smith’s Deadshot will lead the gang of Harley Quinn, the Joker, Rick Flag (Kinnaman), Captain Boomrang (Courtney) and others. For Ayer, “Suicide Squad” is about “creating brotherhood,” he told Entertainment City. “I’m creating a very real chemistry, and I have this incredible ensemble of actors led by Will Smith who are basically playing three-dimensional characters with lives and souls. I’m all about real drama, real performance, and real people, so my twist on this is I’m creating a family,” he added.
