Director David Ayer’s “Suicide Squad" will feature lot of stunts, Scott Eastwood has hinted. The actor, who is playing a military man, also revealed that actors have performed their own stunts as Ayer wanted them to do so.

"[It's] really physical. David is a very physical filmmaker. He wants everyone doing their own stuff and he doesn't hire guys who aren't willing to do that,” Eastwood told E! Online. Some actors got injured, but according to Eastwood it is part of filmmaking. “I think active guys are always living with injuries. You're always dealing with an injury. That's part of it. It's like sports. There's always something,” he added.

Eastwood is part of an ensemble cast featuring Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne and Viola Davis. The name of his character is unknown but in leaked photos Eastwood has been spotted in a military uniform on the film’s Toronto set.

Filming for “Suicide Squad” has been underway for weeks. Ayer has based the film on the comic book “Suicide Squad” by John Ostrander. Richard Suckle, Charles Roven and Colin Wilson are producers and Roman Vasyanov has done the cinematography. The story line concerns a set of supervillians who undertake a dangerous “black ops” mission in exchange for shorter prison sentences. Smith’s Deadshot will lead a squad that includes the Joker (Leto), Harley Quinn (Robbie), Captain Boomrang (Courtney) and others.

The much talked-about role is of Oscar winner Leto, who has reportedly adopted method acting to play the Joker. Eastwood said he was afraid to meet Leto as he did not want to interfere in 43-year-old actor’s preparation. “I was sort of afraid to approach him because I didn't want to mess with his thing going on. But I knew him before. I met him before he was the Joker. I just met him as Jared Leto. So I didn't know if I wanted to mess up his thing,” he said.

Leto will be seen in green hair and dark makeup in "Suicide Squad," which opens Aug. 5, 2016.
