“Suits” creator Aaron Korsh shared how life on set of the USA Network legal drama has changed since news broke that series star Meghan Markle is dating Prince Harry.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Korsh admitted that life on set has been a bit crazier since it was revealed to the world that Markle — who plays Rachel Zane on the series — is Prince Harry’s newest girlfriend.

“I’m in L.A. more than Toronto but the added publicity came very late in the season for us so we didn’t really have a massive amount of time under that added publicity,” Korsh recalled. “If anything [it] was more of a strain, it was the concern of outside paparazzi.”

When asked how people on set reacted to the news, Korsh said: “The thing is these people have been working together — crew, cast, even many of the extras — for five years. We’ve been operating as a family for so long and that hasn’t really changed.”

As for what he personally thinks about Markle and Prince Harry’s romance, Korsh said: “I’m happy for any and all of my cast members that are in any kind of relationship that is bringing them joy and happiness.”

Several U.S. and U.K. media outlets reported last November that Markle and Prince Harry had been dating since August. On Nov. 8, Kensington Palace confirmed their relationship, but also attacked the media for subjecting Markle to “a wave of abuse and harassment.”

“Some of this has been very public — the smear on the front page of a national newspaper; the racial undertones of comment pieces; and the outright sexism and racism of social media trolls and web article comments,” read a portion of the statement. “Prince Harry is worried about Ms. Markle’s safety and is deeply disappointed that he has not been able to protect her. It is not right that a few months into a relationship with him that Ms. Markle should be subjected to such a storm. He knows commentators will say this is ‘the price she has to pay’ and that ‘this is all part of the game.’ He strongly disagrees. This is not a game — it is her life and his.”

Markle was previously married to film producer Trevor Engelson. Prince Harry, meanwhile, most recently dated Cressida Bonas.

“Suits” airs every Wednesday at 10 p.m. EST on USA Network.
