“Suits” star Patrick J. Adams gushed about Gina Torres on Instagram two days after it was revealed that the actress is leaving the USA series.

“Working with Ms. Gina Torres was one of the highlights of my career thus far,” Adams, who plays Mike Ross on the legal drama show, wrote on the social networking site, alongside a candid black and white photo of Torres. “She is the epitome. The top. The boss. Always.”

“We’re gonna miss her around these parts,” the Canadian actor added of the actress, who portrayed Jessica Pearson on the series. “Can’t wait to see what she does next. No doubt it will be electrifying. #farewelljessica.”

In the Season 6 summer finale of “Suits,” Jessica realized that she doesn’t want to be a corporate lawyer anymore, so she stepped down as a name partner of Pearson Specter Litt and decided to go with her lover Jeff Malone (D.B. Woodside) to Chicago.

“I forgot why I became a lawyer in the first place and it wasn’t just to fight for money and power,” Jessica said in the episode. “It was to fight for something more.”

Rick Hoffman, who plays Louis Litt on “Suits,” also took to Instagram to express his love for Torres. “This pretty much says it all about my relationship with Gina Torres. Gina and me in our last scene in @suits_usa ep 610. Love you Gina!!” he captioned a photo of him and Torres staring at each other on the set of the show.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly following the airing of the midseason finale, Torres said that she was “happy” that her co-stars “weren’t happy” about her decision to leave the show. “I think just everyone wondered, ‘Well, how is this going to work? How are we going to do this? What’s this show going to look like without Jessica?’” she recalled.” We’re all wondering. I’m wondering. I’m very curious myself.”
