Fans have to wait for four months for the next episode of “Suits.”

The USA Network series aired its summer finale earlier this week, and according to a new promo, the legal drama’s Season 7, episode 11 will air sometime in January next year.

The cast and crew went on a short filming hiatus after they’d finished shooting the midseason finale early last month. But based on Sarah Rafferty’s recent Instagram post, the team has already gone back to work to film the remaining six episodes of the season.

Plot details about the back six episodes are being kept under wraps, but series creator Aaron Korsh has recently teased what fans can expect when the show returns next year.

“Obviously, there’s going to be aftermath,” Korsh told TVLine when asked what will happen next after Donna (Rafferty) kissed Harvey (Gabriel Macht) at the end of the Season 7, episode 10. “Think about the circumstances under which Donna did that. Think about Harvey’s current situation. Whether you’re rooting for Harvey and Donna or not, it’s still a bold maneuver to do that to someone else while they’re in a relationship, and especially given Harvey’s feelings on what it is to be faithful to another person. All I can say is it’s absolutely going to have its ramifications, and we’ll play that out over the back six [episodes] and, hopefully, [that] sets us up for a nice run in Season 8.”

In a separate interview with Deadline, Korsh revealed that the next batch of episodes will also continue the story between Louis (Rick Hoffman) and his ex-fiancée Sheila (Rachael Harris). “Louis and Sheila, their saga is far from over. We have some fun stuff coming for them in the back 6,” teased Korsh, before revealing that Season 7, episode 12 is going to be a big episode for the pair.

“We’re currently in the middle of writing a story between the two of them for episode 12 that involves a flashback to young Louis,” Korsh said. “And we get little bit more insight into why he is who he is and how it he became who he was.”

Korsh also revealed that the back six episodes will see the introduction of a “new character that our people within our show know but fans haven’t met before. “It’s an old name partner, one of Gordon, Schmidt and VanDyke, I just won’t tell you which one it is,” the exec producer said.

As for what fans can expect from Mike (Patrick J. Adams) and Rachel (Meghan Markle), Korsh said that the wedding between the two will “probably” happen in the back six episodes.
