Martian Manhunter (David Harewood) and Miss Martian (Sharon Leal) will cross paths for the first time in the next episode of “Supergirl.”

In a sneak peek for the episode, entitled “Welcome to Earth,” Martian Manhunter, also known as Hank Henshaw and J’onn J’onzz, visits a bar frequented by alien refugees. Miss Martian works as a bartender in the said pub, and although she’s is in her human form when Martian Manhunter first laid his eyes on her, the head of the D.E.O. seems to have felt an instant connection to her.

Leal’s character, on the other hand, is pretty shocked when he sees the Martian refugee for the first time. In fact, she becomes so anxious after meeting him that she needs to excuse herself and get out of the bar. Martian Manhunter follows her outside and asks: “Who are you!?”

The sneak peek ends right after Martian Manhunter drops the question, but based on Miss Martian’s non-verbals, it seems that she’s about to tell him her true identity.

Details about how exactly Miss Martian will fit into the story are being kept under wraps, but executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said that Miss Martian will help Hank embrace his Martian self a lot more.

“J’onn is suddenly going to have this connection to Mars that he’s been lacking for the last 300 years,” Kreisberg told Entertainment Weekly. “He’s dealing with survivor’s guilt, and he’s spent the last few hundred years burying that. It’s only because of his interactions with Kara [Melissa Benoist] and his deepening relationship with Alex [Chyler Leigh] that he gets to start to tap back into that. The arrival of Miss Martian is really going to open the flood gates.”

Aside from Leal, Lynda Carter is also set to make her first appearance in Season 2, episode 3 of “Supergirl.” Carter plays President Olivia Marsdin who according to the synopsis for the episode becomes a target of an attack as alien vs. human rights debate heats up in National City.

“Supergirl” Season 2, episode 3 airs on Monday, Oct. 24, at 8 p.m. on The CW.
