Jensen Ackles (left) and Jared Padalecki tease shocking information about "Supernatural" Season 10's "musical-ish" episode 5, "Fan Fiction." CW

You hear that? It’s the sound of Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) Winchester warming up their vocal chords for Season 10’s “musical-ish” episode of “Supernatural,” which is set to air Tuesday, Nov. 11. That’s right, in just one short week, fans of the hit CW series will get to witness the monster-hunting brothers put down their weapons and pick up a mic in episode 5, “Fan Fiction,” a meta-installment created in honor of the show’s 200th episode -- and of course, the fans who have kept the show alive for 10 long seasons.

“I would just describe it as something of a love letter to our fans, and there will be songs,” Jeremy Carver, the show’s executive producer, explained at the Television Critics Association press tour, regarding the series’ “most engaging” episode. “We’re going pretty meta.”

According to the synopsis of episode 5, “Fan Fiction” will follow the mysterious storyline of Sam and Dean investigating the disappearance of a teacher. But when the duo arrives to the school in search of clues, they’ll uncover something even more alarming -- a musical production of their lives being portrayed by students.

“We’re not at a convention, but we’re at a place where they’re doing a play based on the Chuck Shurley books,” Padalecki explained to Zap2it. “So not only are these books based on our lives, now people are doing a play based on these books, and someone is haunting it, so we go and try to investigate what’s going on at this play, based on the books about our lives.”

“It’s walking into a theater and seeing your life in pictures before you, but it’s from the perspective of the fans of the series,” Ackles added, elaborating on what fans could anticipate in “Fan Fiction.”

But that’s not all fans should look forward to in episode 6. According to Entertainment Weekly, viewers will get a blast from the “Supernatural” past, when characters from former episodes reprise their roles in episode 5. Only catch is, only one of them will be male! “[Jared] and I are the only men in the whole episode, save one person,” Ackles teased.

Any ideas of who it could be? Our money is on Chuck (Rob Benedict)!
