supernatural season 10 spoilers
Will Crowley (Mark Sheppard, left) and Castiel (Misha Collins, right) work together to save Dean from his demonic ways in episode 3 of "Supernatural"? The CW

Things are getting wicked spooky on Season 10 of “Supernatural.” And according to reports, the chills will only heighten as the hit CW series progresses -- especially when Jensen Ackles takes his turn in the director’s chair. Ackles, who portrays Dean on “Supernatural,” will be playing a dual role in episode 3 when he both acts and directs “Soul Survivor.”

From what we’ve seen in the promo video for episode 3, Ackles is going all out in next week’s installment. When episode 2 concluded, Dean was handcuffed and captured by Sam (Jared Padalecki) after the demon’s little encounter with a scorned and vengeance-seeking Cole (Travis Aaron Wade). Cole wanted revenge after Dean had killed his father but little did he know, the eldest Winchester brother (who probably had a good reason for killing his dad) was no longer human, which can be seen as Dean threatens Sam in the final scene.

“And what I’m going to do to you, Sammy, well, that’s not going to be mercy either,” Dean promised his brother. And he’ll live up to his word when episode 3 airs. According to the synopsis, Sam will continue his efforts to save Dean from the Mark of Cain. But Dean will do everything in his demonic power to make sure that doesn’t happen. In the promo video Dean escapes Sam’s attempt to contain him, which will lead Dean on a frantic search to find and hurt his little brother.

But Sam won’t be the only one to end up injured in episode 3. Castiel (Misha Collins), who is still dying, will end up battered and bloody in next week’s installment, according to the promo photo above. But surprisingly enough it's Crowley (Mark Sheppard) who will come to his aid -- with an ulterior motive of course. “Crowley realizes Dean’s demonic antics are starting to cause problems for him in Hell,” which is when he’ll reach out to Castiel for help.
