‘Supernatural: Tribes’ Season 1 Spoilers: When Will ‘Supernatural’ Spinoff Premiere? Backdoor Pilot To Air In Episode 20

Greetings, “Supernatural” fans. We know you must be pretty down and out considering your beloved CW show has been on a bit of a hiatus, but boy, do we have some paranormal news that will surely put a smile on your face! While poking around the Internet trying to find out some more scoops about the coming episode of “Supernatural” titled “Captives,” we came across some pretty interesting things regarding the CW spinoff “Supernatural: Tribes.”

Did you know that “Supernatural: Tribes” will be making its spooky debut during the 20th episode of “Supernatural” this season? The backdoor pilot will be introduced the way “Ravenswood” was presented within the plot of “Pretty Little Liars.” That seems to be the smart route considering fans of the horror-fantasy show will have no option but becoming familiar with the Eric Kripke spinoff.

And we have a feeling “Supernatural” fans won’t be disappointed. According to spoilers, “Supernatural; Tribes” follows in the eerie footsteps of its sister show. “SPN fans will notice more than a few similarities to the original series’ pilot,” TV Guide dished, diving into how “Supernatural: Tribes” will begin its plot. “After the death of a loved one, the show’s protagonist, Ennis, is dragged into the world of hunting and monsters.”

To give a little more background of the series, Ennis is the son of a cop, which explains his craving for justice. And according to rumors, producers have their eyes set on finding an an African-American actor in his early 20s to take on the role. The monsters previously mentioned are the ones responsible for killing Ennis' friend, which is what begins his journey of taking down the bag guys, err—we mean creatures. But not before the Winchester brothers have a moment to hand over their monster-catching baton to the new guy when the three cross paths.

“It comes as no surprise that Sam (Jared Padalecki) is far more sympathetic to the wannabe cop than his brother (Dean, played by Jensen Ackles) when they run into Ennis working a case in Chicago,” spoilers revealed.

Although the two CW shows sound extremely similar, there is one difference that sets them apart. Ennis doesn’t have an equally as hot brother hunting mystical creatures with him. “And while ‘Tribes’ lacks ‘Supernatural’s’ beloved sibling angst,” we will get to see family drama rise when Ennis reveals he has “Winchester-level daddy issues.”

If "Supernatural" doesn't take any more breaks, the backdoor pilot for "Supernatural: Tribes" is on track to air in early April.
