‘Superstore’
Which character would Jonah (Ben Feldman) and Amy (America Ferrera) would have to say goodbye to in “Superstore” Season 3? NBC

“Superstore” Season 3 will soon reveal the fate of the characters following the tornado that hit Cloud 9 last season.

In the hit NBC sitcom, the staff and crew at Cloud 9 feared for their lives when they were unable to leave the store just in time to be with their families. There were speculations that Brett (Jon Miyahara) may have been killed off when the tornado hit because he was spotted outdoors at the time. But according to TV Line, fans shouldn’t be worried about Brett. Instead, another character may have died following the events that took place in Season 2.

Season 3, episode 3 is titled “Sal is Dead,” which could be hinting that one of Cloud 9’s employees, Sal (Sean Whalen), is the character that viewers should really be worried about. Unfortunately, no other details about Sal have been revealed as of late, and it is also unclear whether or not he passed away due to the tornado or some other cause.

In May, “Superstore” executive producer Justin Spitzer detailed what it was like destroying the entire Cloud 9 set and said that it felt timely after Universal told them they needed to move on to different stages. “So we knew the set was gonna look somewhat different next year, and we would have to motivate that. Also, it was just a great opportunity to beat the crap out of our current stage and not worry about having to put it back together. It just felt like now’s the time,” he told Entertainment Tonight.

Meanwhile, “Superstore” Season 3 will also focus on Amy (America Ferrera) and Jonah’s (Ben Feldman) shocking confession about their feelings and their kiss. Spitzer said that the two characters won’t have a happy ending in the upcoming episodes since they have to deal with the awkward situation of seeing each other at work and potentially pretending like nothing happened.

“Their relationship can never be the same going forward. But it doesn’t necessarily have to lead into them dating or deciding not to date,” he explained.

“Superstore” Season 3 will premiere on NBC on Sept. 28 at 8 p.m. EDT.
