Leah Messer is jumping back into the dating world. The “Teen Mom 2” star decided to step outside of her comfort zone and potentially find a new boyfriend on Monday’s Season 8 installment of the MTV docuseries.

Leah’s storyline in episode 11, “Swiping and Griping,” started out with her revealing to the cameras that she’s created a Bumble account two years after divorcing her second husband Jeremy Calvert. “I haven’t been on a date since my divorce with Jeremy so I made myself a profile on a dating app,” Leah says.

Leah’s dating life, however, doesn’t remain private for long. While scrolling through pictures of potential mates, Leah’s daughters Addie, 4, and Aleeah Grace are in the backseat. At one point, Aleeah, 7, even gives her input on the men her mom is looking to go out with.

“I’m going through Bumble and she’s saying yes or no,” Leah laughs to the cameras as Aleeah looks over her shoulder onto her phone.

“What kind of boy should I date?” Leah goes on to ask her daughter.

“He’s my kind,” Aleeah says of one of the men, much to Leah’s surprise. Leah responds by saying her daughter “should not be looking at this.”

The following day Leah calls her friend Kylie to let her known she finds the world of online dating strange. “It makes me anxious because I have kids. I don’t want just anybody coming into my children’s lives,” Leah says.

“I’m older. I feel more independent that ever. I’m not looking for a relationship to fulfill anything. It’s just different. I’m just looking for someone to be happy with,” she adds. Leah ends the conversation by stating she’s open to going on a date.

Leah’s next scene shows her telling an MTV producer she’s going out with a man named Josh who she recently met him online.

“We started talking on Bumble because I thought I would try these little dating sites,” she gushed. Leah went on to reveal her date partner enjoys the outdoors and, unlike her, does not have kids. “I’m excited,” Leah adds. “But I’m nervous.”

The next day, Leah is shown prepping for her big outing and calls on her sister Victoria to babysit. Victoria wants her sibling not to let her nerves get the best of her but Leah says she’ll be nervous no matter what. One person not nervous about the date -- Leah’s daughter Addie, whom she shares with Jeremy.

“Mom already told me that,” Addie says when Victoria tells her about her mom’s outing. “Go and get a boyfriend,” the little girl adds.

When Leah tells Addie she’s not interested in a boyfriend at the moment, Addie tells her, “Yes, you are.”

At the date things are noticeably tense, though Josh claims the cameras aren’t “awkward” for him. After the dinner, Leah tells “Teen Mom 2” producers she likely won’t get together with Josh again.

“When you know, you know and that’s a no,” Leah says with a laugh.

When Josh unexpectedly pulls up and asks her for a second date, she doesn’t tell him the truth. Instead, Leah tells him she’ll text him her answer instead of letting him down in person. “At first I was going to say yes and [then] I said, ‘I’ll text you.’ I’ll text him to tell him no.”

“Teen Mom 2” airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EDT on MTV.
