“Teen Wolf” Season 5 is changing Kira (Arden Cho). The kitsune has been displaying her new powers all season. Earlier this year, her boyfriend Scott (Tyler Posey) realized that she might’ve killed a man if he hadn’t stopped her. He admitted to Theo (Cody Christian) that he isn’t sure that he can trust her anymore. A new sneak-peek video from episode 7 shows that maybe her parents shouldn’t trust her either.

In the clip, Kira is shown helping her father, Mr. Yukimura (Tom T. Choi), take some boxes to school. The teenager isn’t thrilled to be going to her dad’s classroom on a Saturday morning. Her father leaves her alone as he goes to grab another box from the car. That’s when Kira’s mom (Tamlyn Tomita) attacks.

Mrs. Yukimura comes after her daughter with a sword. “Mom? What the hell?” Kira asks as she tries to avoid her mother’s weapon.

“Kira, where is your sword?” she asks.

“Um,” Kira stammers. “I think I left it—”

Her mother tosses her a sword, and it’s clear that Kira has to duel with her mother. “Mom, this isn’t what I would call quality mother/daughter time,” Kira says.

Her mother tells her that she has to defend herself. She still doesn’t understand why, but she engages in a battle with her mom. Mrs. Yukimura doesn’t go easy on her daughter. She even knocks Kira to the ground, but Kira quickly gets back up.

“Show yourself, kitsune,” Mrs. Yukimura says in Japanese. Kira’s eyes glow and suddenly the aura of flames reappears. Kira strikes her mother's sword and breaks it in half. She pushes her mother to the ground and raises her sword above her own head, as if she is ready to kill her mom.

Luckily, her father walks in and distracts her. The glowing eyes and the fiery aura are gone and all that’s left is an angry teenager. “I could’ve killed you!” Kira yells.

“Not you, the fox inside you,” her mother corrects.

Kira’s powers won’t be the only problem Scott’s pack faces in episode 7. As previously reported, they’ll try to protect the chimeras from the Dread Doctors, but that won’t be an easy task.
