The fate of House Forrester will soon be revealed, as Telltale Games has announced the release date for the company’s “Game of Thrones” season finale. The sixth episode in the series, titled “The Ice Dragon,” will be released on Nov. 17 for Windows PC, mobile devices and all major consoles.

Interestingly enough, the finale comes out at the same time as “Game of Thrones: A Telltale Series” comes to retail stores. The physical disc of “Game of Thrones” will feature all six episodes, according to IGN, so fans of the series can go through all the episodes at once.

To celebrate the release of the finale, Game Informer has confirmed that Telltale Games has made the first episode of “Game of Thrones” -- “Iron from Ice” -- free to download for all platforms. This has been a popular tactic from the company for quite some time now, as it gives curious players a sampler of the series and lets them decide if they want to get the rest of the series.

According to Kevin Bruner, the CEO and co-founder of Telltale Games, the finale to “Game of Thrones” is the most ambitious episode the company has put out. That’s saying a lot, considering that the company also made other acclaimed licensed games like “Fables: The Wolf Among Us” and “The Walking Dead.”

Player choice has always been the main appeal of Telltale Games and “Game of Thrones” has been no exception. Throughout the season, players were forced to either form allegiances or make enemies with powerful people and it's clear that those decisions will play a big part in the finale.

As most fans know, the fate of House Forrester has been in their hands since the beginning of the game and the finale will supposedly give fitting conclusions to each of the characters, depending on the player choices. Whether these conclusions lead to happy endings or tragic deaths, players will finally find out when the last episode is released next month.

“Game of Thrones” fans who love the mythologies of both the HBO series and books may want to give the video game a shot, especially since the game is in the same continuity as the television show. The first five episodes of “Game of Thrones” are currently available for download on all major platforms.
