Three California schools were put on lockdown Tuesday afternoon after a reported gunman was seen on a college campus.

Santa Monica College, John Adams Middle School, and the Will Rogers Learning Community were put on lockdown, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Three people reported seeing a gunman on campus, the Associated Press reported.

Campus police, as well as the Santa Monica Police Department and other enforcement agencies, are sweeping the campus, the LA Times reported.

School is not in session, but there are still people on campus, the AP reported.
