According to Advocate.com, "Three Stooges" and "Will & Grace" star Sean Hayes will be reuniting with former co-star Debra Messing on NBC's "Smash." The show, which entails the development and production of a Broadway musical based on Marilyn Monroe, debuted last year and stars Debra Messing ("Will & Grace," "The Starter Wife"), Anjelica Huston ("The Royal Tenenbaums") and Katherine McPhee ("American Idol"). The show has been met with middling reviews, with the show's pilot scoring the highest of last season's episodes.

Hayes will be in familiar territory, playing Terrence Falls, comedic television performer making his Broadway debut. He's mostly known for portraying Jack on "Will & Grace" where he took home two Emmy awards in 2000 and 2001 for his comedic performance. He has since made guesting appearances on television in shows like "30 Rock" and "Parks And Recreation."

Playing Larry in "The Three Stooges" opened Hayes up to more physical comedy, alongside Will Sasso and Chris Diamantopoulos. The film was a hit at the box office and rumors of a sequel have been making the rounds since the film's solid opening weekend. While the studio hasn't announced whether or not the main Stooges will be back for the sequel, its assumed that Hayes and company will reprise their roles.

The second season of "Smash" was picked up on March 22, 2012, and will premiere in January, 2013. Also joining the cast is Jennifer Hudson, playing a Broadway superstar.
