Tiger Woods' mother in law Barbro Holmberg was released from Health Central Hospital and was recovering at Woods' house in Windermere, Florida, People Magazine reports citing the hospital's spokesman.

Holmberg, the mother of Elin Nordegren, had complained about stomach pain, according to the Associated Press.

Emergency crews responded to the call at around 2:30 a.m. and transported Holmberg to the hospital.

The incident occurred in the midst of a scandal revolving around the private life of the world's top golf player. At least nine women have emerged claiming they were linked to many affairs with Woods.
