Tiger Woods was standing over a putt at the seventh green Sunday during the final round at the Frys.com Open when a fan charged out of the crowd yelling Tiger and tossed a hot dog, thrown directly at Woods.

Woods was about to putt when it happened. Players said the bun fell well short of where Woods was standing, and the hot dog went onto the green. Woods calmly backed away from his putt and the fan immediately threw his hands up and fell to the gorund, allowing himself to be arrested and escorted of the premsises. Woods then resumed his putting as if nothing had happened, although he missed the putt.

When I looked up, the hot dog was already in the air, Woods said. He was pretty far away from me.

Officials described the suspect, a white male in his late 20s or early 30s, as intoxicated.

Woods wound up with his third straight round of 68 in his first tournament back in seven weeks. However, he has recently fallen out of the top 50 in the Official World Golf Ranking for the first time in his career, claiming the 51st spot.

Woods has also changed caddies amid criticism for his putts.
