‘Timeless’ Season 1 Spoilers: Lucy, Wyatt And Rufus Travel To The Wild West In Episode 12 ‘The Murder Of Jesse James’ [VIDEO]

NBC’s new time-traveling drama “Timeless” served an interesting episode this week in which the villainous Garcia Flynn (Goran Višnjić) kidnapped Lucy Preston (Abigail Spencer) and headed to 1893. The time travelers managed to rescue Lucy and prevent the assassination of Thomas Edison, Henry Ford and J.P. Morgan.

The episode also showed popular historical figures like illusionist Harry Houdini and serial killer H. H. Holmes.

What will happen next on “Timeless”?

Lucy, Wyatt Logan (Matt Lanter) and Rufus Carlin (Malcolm Barrett) will travel to the Wild West. According to the official synopsis, in episode 12, they will be chasing history’s most notorious outlaw – Jesse James (Daniel Lissing). Flynn will join forces with the criminal and cut a bloody swath across the American frontier. Hot on Flynn’s trail, the trio will enlist the help of an iconic Marshal (“Fear The Walking Dead” actor Colman Domingo).

This Marshal is none other than the Lone Ranger. The promo of the upcoming episode, titled “The Murder Of Jesse James,” reveals that the Lone Ranger is an African-American.

At first, the Ranger refuses to escort Lucy into danger. “You really don’t have a choice in the matter,” she tells him. Rufus is thrilled to know that the iconic Marshal is an African-American.

“Timeless” Season 1, episode 12 will also see Lucy getting on a horse and immediately falling down! Later, the history professor gets greeted by a barrage of bullets shot by James. Fortunately, Wyatt saves her just in time.

The synopsis teases that Lucy, Wyatt and Rufus will make a crucial discovery about Flynn’s mission.

There are five episodes left for the NBC show to end its freshman season.
