NBC’s time-travelling series “Timeless” is having a “Supernatural” reunion. Soon after Jim Beaver was cast in the role of NSA Agent Neville for multiple episodes, another CW actor is heading to the show.

Misha Collins, who plays angel Castiel on “Supernatural,” has been cast in “Timeless” Season 1 as the historical figure Eliot Ness, reports Variety. Collins shared the good news on Monday in a tweet. The 42-year-old star shared a photo of him with the cast of the NBC drama. He said that they gave him a warm welcome.

Incidentally, one of the creators of “Timeless” is Eric Kripke. Kripke also created “Supernatural” which explains why he cast Beaver and Collins in interesting roles in Season 1.

Collins will guest-star in a Feb. 13 episode which is titled “Public Enemy No. 1.” It will air at 10 p.m. EST on NBC. The actor will play a famous Untouchables leader. In the episode, Flynn (Goran Višnjić) will travel to 1931 Chicago to partner with the nation’s most infamous gangster, Al Capone (Cameron Gharaee). This leads Lucy (Abigail Spencer), Wyatt (Matt Lanter) and Rufus (Malcolm Barrett) to join forces with the one man who can defeat Capone: Ness (Collins).

Kripke said in a statement, “When the Eliot Ness character first came up, I immediately thought of Misha [Collins], and I’m so thrilled to be working with him again. Misha brings his charisma, his talent -- and frankly, all of his angelic qualities to the role.”

Collins first appeared in “Supernatural” Season 4 and has been in the long-running series ever since. The show was recently renewed for a thirteenth season.

Besides Collins, “Supernatural” actor Beaver will appear in last three episodes of “Timeless” Season 1. His character harbors a dark secret.

“Timeless” Season 1 airs Mondays at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
